Where can I find budget pamper days for mums?
Primary school kids are back at school this week (although most high schools have only one week off at the Whit half term, the younger ones seem have two).
Not that this will make much differences to most mums I’ll bet. Ok, maybe they don’t have to think about how to keep little folk entertained every day but most of us still have hectic days whether the children are at school or at home.
My own little boy isn’t school age yet, so life’s just as busy for me either way, while a lot of people with jobs still have to juggle the home and worklife just the same, school holidays or not.
And every single one of us has to deal with that long list of jobs that need doing around the home every day. In or out of school term, I’m not sure the ironing pile gets any smaller (unless you’re one of those people with a man about the house who doesn’t mind pitching in sometimes!)
I was thinking that a bit of pampering might not go amiss to make up for all this hard work, so I took a look on the web to see if there were any good deals.
Surprisingly I couldn’t find anywhere offering independent reviews of pamper days and the like, particularly those that don’t cost a fortune. There is an article over at PamperDaysUK that offers some tips on budget pamper days, but it doesn’t give any real examples.
I think when our community of Hectic Mum readers gets a bit bigger, I might compile a list of the pamper days in the UK that offer the best value for money. In fact, we could extend the list to include any kind of treat, whether it’s the best offers on dining out or discount designer womenswear.
All ideas will be welcome!
