Hello Mr Ed!
Well it’s not often I admit this but I was fashionably embarrassed the other day!! My 12 year old nephew pointed out that there was a hot new brand out there that I had never heard of – shocking!! Apparently, amongst those in the know – Ed Hardy is the name to be wearing. Celebrities love it too – how have I not heard of a brand which Madonna, Britney Spears, Kanye West, Shakira, Paris Hilton, Fergie (from the Black Eyed Peas), Missy Elliott, Jessica Alba and Peter Andre wear? Teenagers all over the country are busy saving up their pocket money in order to be able to get hold of a T-shirt or Hoody of his – and they’re not cheap!
For those of you like me who have absolutely no idea who Ed Hardy is – he’s a tattooist with a very famous parlour in San Francisco. A couple of years ago Christian Audigier, who used to work at Von Dutch, licensed the rights to produce the Ed Hardy line – and so his tattoo designs began to appear on t-shirts, jeans, hoodys, shoes, etc. – you name it, they tattooed on it!!!
Now that I know about this brand and have bought it – I’ve fallen in love with it!! It’s so cool! Every t-shirt looks individual, and just that little bit different to anything else that’s on the High Street. And of course the kids love it because they can have the kudos of having a tattoo without actually having a tattoo!!!! For us hectic mum’s out there the other great thing about the t-shirts is that they are 100% cotton – so easy to wash and iron!! But I learnt to my cost that you need to iron them on the reverse – otherwise the tattoo print doesn’t look as good!!!
I’m so excited too because www.getthelabel.com has just received a delivery of Ed Hardy product. My favourite T is the King Skull Rope T – which is just so funky! And picks up on the gothic trend for Autumn/Winter!! Just don’t wear it out at night – because you might scare someone!!! For those of you who need a bit of luck in your life – and who doesn’t at the moment? – why not go for the Lady Dollar Hooded Sweat? It will be a talking point down the pub on a Saturday night anyway!! For the less fashion brave amongst you, don’t panic, shoes are available too – a great way to show you know what brands are hot and you aren’t afraid to wear them!! My favourites are the Twisty Ballet shoe – how cute will these look with your skinny jeans and t-shirt?
So, get in the know and get some Ed Hardy in your wardrobe – it’s THE brand to be seen in!”
