Do the words ‘family holiday’ instantly ignite stress, worry and anxiety? Well, for me they do! “How far away is the holiday, how secure is the hotel, will there be any swimming pools for the kids to fall into” and the list goes on and on! (Not to mention “Are we nearly there yet?” followed by me banning the question!)

However, I have come across a saviour on the net which is an award winning family holiday company, Tots to France. They also own Tots to Italy if your kids prefer pizza and spaghetti!

Their aim is to make it much easier to take your children away on holiday. They visit every single property that they put on the site and look at it through the eyes of a parent to make sure that it is baby and childproof.

Here are just some of the things that they look for:
• Enclosed or securely covered pools
• Locks on low windows
• Pool and cleaning chemicals locked away
• Staircases which cannot be closed off using a door have stairgates on them
• Where possible, gardens are enclosed
• We highlight potential hazards within the house e.g. split levels etc.  We believe that forewarned is forearmed.

There are some amazingly beautiful villas on the site and a really great idea for your next family holiday! Unfortunately for me I’ve not got that many holidays left for this year, so this one I’ll be booking in advance for next year (I’ve heard these guys book up far in advance so its best to get in there early!)

Hectic Mum top tip: Take a travel wallet with all the documents about the flights, villa/hotel and transfers in it, along with all the passports.
