Year of the print - designer bargains with this Spring’s favourite trend

January 25, 2010 By: Liz McNamara Category: Shopping, Uncategorized

According to the latest trend reports, this is the year of the print. Animals prints, graphic shapes and floral patterns were some of the favourites on the catwalk and luckily, Get The Label has some fantastic on-trend discounted designer clothing for you to snap up before the season even hits.

We have some top tips for wearing prints - the bigger and bolder, the better, but don’t wear it top-to-toe. Always stick to one garment in the print and keep the rest of your outfit plain. So for example, you could team this patterned Apple bottoms top in XS (just £14.99 saving you £30!) with some dark denim jeans and strappy sandals which will also carry you through to the hotter summer months.

We have a great selection of Only patterned tops ranging from just £1.99 to £6.99 which will also help you to follow the print trend without breaking the bank.

For another way to wear prints next season, go for a brightly coloured dress. This Firetrap Robertson dress is a great designer bargain at a reduced price of just £29.99 and will look fantastic with a pair of flat pumps or flip flops during the day.

To wear prints in the evening or on a night out, go for this Rare Teaparty Summer dress and wear it with some wedges like this pair of Firetrap Luxy wedges heels to make you stand out from the crowd. The whole outfit comes in at £40.98, saving you a whooping £74!

Brand new Get The Label website with discount designer brands galore!

January 22, 2010 By: Liz McNamara Category: Shopping

I’m very pleased to announce that the new Get The Label website has now been launched (woo!)

You can check out our new look at www.getthelabel.com where there are discounted designer deals a plenty and some new website features.

From now on you will be able to benefit from a whole host of features helping you to get to your desired designer bargains much quicker and easier!

We have a new ‘Shops’ section which features New In, Winter Coats and Winter Boots, along with our Sale shop. There is also improved navigation and individually tailored offers just for you.

But the best part of it (in my opinion of course!) is that you can now sort by price. So for example if you have £10 to spend on a new addition to your wardrobe, you can sort the products by price and find the cheapest first - fab!

Enjoy!

Fashion, shopping, being a mum, - ideas wanted for new Facebook quizzes

January 14, 2010 By: Liz McNamara Category: Fun, Things to do

I’ve always been a keen Facebook user at home but we’ve started using it more in work now too.

One of things we’ve developed for the Get The Label page is a fashion quiz called Guess The Label. It’s designed to find out if you know your Henleys from your Firetrap. There’s a voucher code included too.

Click on the link and go to Guess The Label if you’re a Facebook user and fancy having a bash at the quiz. The idea is that you challenge your friends to beat your score, so do make sure you share your results afterwards.

I have to tell you, I work for the company, but even I didn’t get all the answers right!

We’re hoping to introduce some more Facebook quizzes over the year and I’m keen to hear if anyone has any ideas. The theme needs to be something that relates to Get The Label – so think designer labels, low prices, bargains and famous fashion brands.

And of course, as I’m a hectic mum and write for a blog called The Hectic Mum, all ideas for quizzes aimed at busy mums will viewed very favourably indeed!

Ideas on a postcard please, although, if it’s easier, do email me or leave a comment if you have a brain wave.
