Bathtime…ahh a time of bliss, relaxation and transportation to a world of no stress! As you might guess, I love buying the latest monthly glossy, putting on some relaxing music and taking a long soak in a steaming hot bath. It really helps me to unwind and relax my muscles, a god send when its coming to the end of a hard week at work.
Now i know that i have this love of baths in common with a lot of my friends, both mums and non-mums, so i thought i’d put a post about how to achieve the perfect bath for optimum relaxation - just in time for this weekend! So, what have you got planned for your kids this half term? The weather isn’t too bad oop North at the moment so I’m taking full advantage of that for my plan - to embrace the great outdoors! It can’t do me any harm and Kian loves being out in the sun - I just hope the weather holds out!
Autumn half term
Bought my first packet of Thomas The Tank Engine Christmas chocolate buttons in Mothercare over the weekend, I now officially dispise queing systems that plant product at every twist and turn. I also conceed that I have broken the unwritten rule of uttering the word Christmas in September! Yes, yes I did! In my job (head of marketing at Get The Label) Christmas is always on the brain but that doesn’t mean that I don’t make an audible gasp when I start to see Christmas cards and decorations in shops at this time of the year, not to mention Boots starting to display their ‘3-4-2 on Christmas gifts’ stuff already.
However, when I got my regular Money Magpie newsletter with a feature about saving for Christmas, I realised this probably is a good time to start forward planning - something I am usually rubbish at. So here are some tops tips I’ve collected, and some of my own knowledge, for making the countdown to Christmas a bit easier!

October is fast approaching - where has this year gone - and so it’s that time of year again! Yes its Jeans for Genes day next Friday, 2nd October - so it’s time to get organised.
For me this is an important charity to support as it funds support services and research into the causes and cures for genetic disorders. And it’s so easy to support and fun too - all you have to do is wear your jeans and make a donation of £2! Simple. Of course if you want to really get behind this cause you could organise all sorts of fundraising events - Jeans for Genes have lots of ideas on their website.
