Back To The 80’s

February 08, 2010 By: Louise Kilburn Category: Fashion, Shopping

The hot news from the Catwalks for Spring/Summer 2010 is that the 1980s trend looks set to run and run. It started last summer with a vengeance, ran on through winter and is now continuing on into this summer. So, how do you go about managing to look bang on trend without looking like you’re going to a fancy dress party?

Start off with a printed t-shirt or vest – this Gio Goi vest is perfect as it is features some diamante headphones – which were a major fashion accessory in the 80s! Other t-shirts that would suit this trend would be fluorescent coloured (pink, yellow, or green), slogans and anything with fringing!

The perfect designer New Years Eve outfit

December 21, 2009 By: Liz McNamara Category: Fashion, Shopping

There’s less than 1 week to go until Santa gets stuck up the chimney which means News Year’s Eve is just around the corner. With Christmas being so expensive and the countdown to the next payday in full swing, a new outfit can be last on the list. Well I’ve just realised that I haven’t got an outfit for New Year yet and I can’t bear the idea of going to the shops and wrestling with the frantic shoppers - online is much easier (and safer!). I’ve been having a look at clothing on the cheap and the designer bargains to be had at Get The Label are fantastic, so here’s a couple of last minute discount outfits which are perfect for New Year’s Eve. If you order before midday tomorrow (Tuesday 22nd) your delivery will come in time for Christmas!

Designer bargains with the X Factor

December 01, 2009 By: Liz McNamara Category: Fashion, Shopping

As a self-confessed X-Factor addict the main thing I look forward to every Saturday and Sunday evening is “What is Cheryl and Dannii wearing?”. If I could raid the costume department at ITV and not get caught then I would get my Catwoman outfit on and go for it!

I’m sure their wardrobes cost thousands of pounds but here at Get The Label we can give them a run for their money and look just as good for a fraction of the price.

Lucie Jones, the now ex-X Factor finalist, was spotted in a Lipsy store trying on several dresses and this one below was a particular favourite of mine:

This Lipsy ruffle dress is fab and (even though she’s not standing up straight) looks perfect for a night out. Get The Label has a size 14 Lipsy Layer Prom dress which is very similar and would look great with a boyfriend blazer and ankle boots. The best part about it is that instead of the full price of £59.99 (which I’m sure Lucie would’ve paid for it!) its a designer bargain at £24.99.

Both Cheryl and Dannii rocked the one-shoulder dress look this weekend which has everyone rushing out and finding theirs for the Christmas season. Get The Label has the perfect Full Circle one shoulder dress which is a cross between a LBD and a one shoulder dress and to make it look a bit more similar to Cheryl’s I would probably finish it off with a rose corsage and some big statement earrings.

Dannii has favoured a rainbow of colours and patterns this series and one dress from the audition stage which really suits her figure is this animal print dress. Get The Label has an on-trend Rare zebra print mini dress in size 8 which, teamed with a fluorescent pink skinny waist belt, will blow Dannii out the water.

Before I go I just though I’d let you know that we’ve started stocking a brand called Apple Bottoms. This cute Apple Bottoms denim corset top is very Katy Perry and all you need is a pair of kitten heels to finish the look off.

No hassle return policy for discount designer clothes at Christmas

November 27, 2009 By: Liz McNamara Category: Fashion, Shopping

I popped to the Trafford Centre in Manchester today and Christmas shoppers were out in force. I reckon there’s only one thing longer than the queue in the shops at Christmas and that’s the queue of people returning unwanted presents in January!

That’s another good thing about buying over the internet. Not only can you shop for designer labels from the comfort of your own home, not only is the range of stock often much wider than is available in-store, not only are the prices for top brands much cheaper than on the High Street, it’s also much less hassle if you need to return goods for any reason.

To make things even easier, this Christmas Get the Label has extended the period in which items can be returned in the new year. Any designer clothes ordered up to 19th December can be returned at any time up to the 29th January 2010.

So not only does Get The Label have everything from Henley’s men’s polo shirts to Timberland junior boys’ boots available for Christmas delivery, it’s also easy to return things should there be a problem.

So if someone has bought you size 8 Adidas Originals when you wanted a pair size 9s, or a black Bench Roady jacket when blue is more your colour, don’t worry. There’s plenty of time to organise an exchange or a refund.

So dont worry and get clicking, I for one have had enough shopping sustained injuries for a while now!

Bargain hunting for designer labels this Christmas

November 25, 2009 By: Liz McNamara Category: Money, Shopping

Apparently the recession won’t stop us splashing out this festive season. A report in the News of the World says the average family will spend £665 on Christmas this year, which is more than 20% up on 2008.

Not that everone will be spending as if there’s no tomorrow though. I also stumbled across a survey on moneysupermarket.com that revealed that the average amount we splash out on our children’s Christmas presents is a bit more modest. The most common answer given is that we will spend about £50-100 per child and with most kids expecting a sackful of presents these days, that means bargain hunting is a must.

This Christmas Get The Label has a dedicated section for Christmas presents under £10 from designer brands including Adidas, Playboy and Bench. In fact, there are gift ideas for every budget with something available for everyone. Menswear, ladies’ fashion and children’s clothes are all included.

Get The Label Christmas Bargains

Some of the clothes are only available in selected sizes and there is limited stock of some items so, if you’re looking for the widest choice of designer labels at discount prices this Christmas, it would be best to get your order in early. There’s only five weeks to go!
