As a self-confessed X-Factor addict the main thing I look forward to every Saturday and Sunday evening is “What is Cheryl and Dannii wearing?”. If I could raid the costume department at ITV and not get caught then I would get my Catwoman outfit on and go for it!

I’m sure their wardrobes cost thousands of pounds but here at Get The Label we can give them a run for their money and look just as good for a fraction of the price.

Lucie Jones, the now ex-X Factor finalist, was spotted in a Lipsy store trying on several dresses and this one below was a particular favourite of mine:

This Lipsy ruffle dress is fab and (even though she’s not standing up straight) looks perfect for a night out. Get The Label has a size 14 Lipsy Layer Prom dress which is very similar and would look great with a boyfriend blazer and ankle boots. The best part about it is that instead of the full price of £59.99 (which I’m sure Lucie would’ve paid for it!) its a designer bargain at £24.99.

Both Cheryl and Dannii rocked the one-shoulder dress look this weekend which has everyone rushing out and finding theirs for the Christmas season. Get The Label has the perfect Full Circle one shoulder dress which is a cross between a LBD and a one shoulder dress and to make it look a bit more similar to Cheryl’s I would probably finish it off with a rose corsage and some big statement earrings.

Dannii has favoured a rainbow of colours and patterns this series and one dress from the audition stage which really suits her figure is this animal print dress. Get The Label has an on-trend Rare zebra print mini dress in size 8 which, teamed with a fluorescent pink skinny waist belt, will blow Dannii out the water.

Before I go I just though I’d let you know that we’ve started stocking a brand called Apple Bottoms. This cute Apple Bottoms denim corset top is very Katy Perry and all you need is a pair of kitten heels to finish the look off.

SO the mayhem that is London Fashion Week (and Paris, New York and Milan) is finally over!  Always a funny time of year for me this - as much as I live, breathe and eat fashion, it does seem a bit odd to be thinking about what we’ll be wearing next Summer, when i’m only just getting round to accepting the fact that Winter is on its way!!  Oh well, us fashionistas always like to be one step ahead.  I suppose it is good in one way, in that if I am going to be spending money on a big purchase, like a leather jacket, it’s easier to do if I know it’s going to be something I’ll wear into next season too.

So, what do the movers and shakers in the fashion world predict we are going to be wearing next summer?

So, as I said last time, I spoiled myself with pieces from the new Get The Label catalogue when it landed on our doormat. A week or so later I’ve been thinking that it’s only fair to see if there is anything I fancy for Mr Hectic Mum to Be. I’m spoilt for choice, however below is my much edited version of what I might be adding to his wardrobe - if he’s a good boy of course…oh, and if he lets me use his card!

Well it’s not often I admit this but I was fashionably embarrassed the other day!! My 12 year old nephew pointed out that there was a hot new brand out there that I had never heard of – shocking!! Apparently, amongst those in the know – Ed Hardy is the name to be wearing. Celebrities love it too – how have I not heard of a brand which Madonna, Britney Spears, Kanye West, Shakira, Paris Hilton, Fergie (from the Black Eyed Peas), Missy Elliott, Jessica Alba and Peter Andre wear? Teenagers all over the country are busy saving up their pocket money in order to be able to get hold of a T-shirt or Hoody of his – and they’re not cheap!

So after a hectic time with the photoshoot for the new catalogue last week I’ve only just had chance to sit down, have a breather and finally upload the backstage pictures I promised to show you.

 

The week was such a success and by the end we had managed to squeeze in a load of shots of the gorgeous new ranges (I’ve got my eye on a couple of Lipsy dresses, such as this LBD, ready for when I finally get a chance to go on a night out!).

 

There were hairdryers and rollers flying everywhere with powder brushes and mascara going ten to the dozen to glam up our lovely models ready for the photos (not that they needed much help!).
