Ahoy there sailor, it’s time to dress up all nautical in discount designer deals!

Now it’s the turn of one of my favourite trends…nautical! Why is it my favourite you ask? Well, it’s easy peasy and I think it suits everyone.

Key colours for this naval officer/pirate trend are navy, black, white, gold and red. You can also go a bit silly with accessories - anchors on necklaces, neckties and bags, big sparkly rings and chunky gold bangles.

Your starting point for a great nautical themed outfit should be a stripey top, like this blue and white striped Barnaby vest from Firetrap which is also available in red and white - just choose the most flattering colour on you, or - since they’re only £9.99 - choose both!

Next up decide what you’d like on your bottom half - if the weather isn’t too bad try a denim skirt, or for a night out choose this Lipsy black tulip mini skirt, which costs just £12.99.

Another great nighttime ’sailor’ look is this Rare Tulip Curve dress in white which is just £9.99!! Team it with a stripey blue and white cardigan and a pair of Firetrap peep toe red heels to look fantastic!

For a daytime look, especially when the weather is a bit chilly try these dark blue Henley’s Dimk jeans which are just £24.99 (that’s £40 off the RRP!). This Apple Bottoms military jacket fits in perfectly with the nautical trend with its big gold buttons and cropped length. With a price of just £24.99 - saving you a massive £45 - it’d be rude not to!

Back To The 80’s

February 08, 2010 By: Louise Kilburn Category: Fashion, Shopping

The hot news from the Catwalks for Spring/Summer 2010 is that the 1980s trend looks set to run and run. It started last summer with a vengeance, ran on through winter and is now continuing on into this summer. So, how do you go about managing to look bang on trend without looking like you’re going to a fancy dress party?

Start off with a printed t-shirt or vest – this Gio Goi vest is perfect as it is features some diamante headphones – which were a major fashion accessory in the 80s! Other t-shirts that would suit this trend would be fluorescent coloured (pink, yellow, or green), slogans and anything with fringing!

Year of the print - designer bargains with this Spring’s favourite trend

January 25, 2010 By: Liz McNamara Category: Shopping, Uncategorized

According to the latest trend reports, this is the year of the print. Animals prints, graphic shapes and floral patterns were some of the favourites on the catwalk and luckily, Get The Label has some fantastic on-trend discounted designer clothing for you to snap up before the season even hits.

We have some top tips for wearing prints - the bigger and bolder, the better, but don’t wear it top-to-toe. Always stick to one garment in the print and keep the rest of your outfit plain. So for example, you could team this patterned Apple bottoms top in XS (just £14.99 saving you £30!) with some dark denim jeans and strappy sandals which will also carry you through to the hotter summer months.

We have a great selection of Only patterned tops ranging from just £1.99 to £6.99 which will also help you to follow the print trend without breaking the bank.

For another way to wear prints next season, go for a brightly coloured dress. This Firetrap Robertson dress is a great designer bargain at a reduced price of just £29.99 and will look fantastic with a pair of flat pumps or flip flops during the day.
