Now it’s the turn of one of my favourite trends…nautical! Why is it my favourite you ask? Well, it’s easy peasy and I think it suits everyone.

Key colours for this naval officer/pirate trend are navy, black, white, gold and red. You can also go a bit silly with accessories - anchors on necklaces, neckties and bags, big sparkly rings and chunky gold bangles.

Your starting point for a great nautical themed outfit should be a stripey top, like this blue and white striped Barnaby vest from Firetrap which is also available in red and white - just choose the most flattering colour on you, or - since they’re only £9.99 - choose both!

The hot news from the Catwalks for Spring/Summer 2010 is that the 1980s trend looks set to run and run. It started last summer with a vengeance, ran on through winter and is now continuing on into this summer.
